Printing and dyeing industry produced by what kind of wastewater?

(1) desizing wastewater, the amount of water is small, the concentration of pollutants is high, mainly contains pulp and its decomposition matter, fiber, acid, starch alkali and enzyme pollutants, turbidity. The wastewater is alkaline with a pH value of about 12. BOD and COD were both high when starch slurry was used. When using synthetic slurry, COD is very high, BOD is less than 5mg/L, water biodegradability is poor.

Cooking wastewater, large amount of water, high concentration of pollutants, mainly containing cellulose, fruit acid, wax, grease, alkali, surfactant, nitrogenous compounds. Wastewater is very alkaline, water temperature is high, brown, COD and BOD is very high, up to thousands of milligrams per liter. The pollution of chemical fiber cooking wastewater is less;

(3) bleaching wastewater, large amount of water, less pollution, mainly contains residual bleach, a small amount of acetic acid, oxalic acid, sodium thiosulfate, etc.;

(4) mercerized wastewater, high alkali content, NaOH content in 3%-5%, most printing and dyeing plants through evaporation concentration recovery NaOH, so mercerized wastewater is rarely discharged, after repeated use of the process of the final discharge of wastewater is still strong alkaline, BOD, COD, SS are higher;

(5) dyeing wastewater, water quality is variable, sometimes containing a variety of dyes when the use of toxic substances (alkali sulfide, tartar, aniline, copper sulfate, phenol, etc.), alkaline, PH sometimes up to 10 or more (when using sulfide, VAT dyes), containing organic dyes, surfactants. High chroma, less SS, higher COD than BOD, poor biodegradability;

Printing wastewater, including pulp, BOD, COD high;

7 finishing process wastewater, mainly containing fiber, resin, formaldehyde, oil and paste, less water;

8) alkali reduction wastewater: is polyester imitation silk alkali reduction process, mainly containing polyester hydrolysate terephthalic acid, ethylene glycol, etc., terephthalic acid content of up to 75%. Alkali reduction wastewater not only has a high pH value (generally >12), but also has a high concentration of organic matter. CODCr in the wastewater discharged from alkali reduction process can be as high as 90,000 mg/L. Macromolecule organic matter and some dyes are difficult to be biodegraded.
